Walter’s parents gave him his first stereo at age 4 so he’d stop tinkering with theirs. In elementary school, he chose & played all the music (from his own collection) for school functions. By high school, he was organizing student assemblies & social events. In graduate school, he earned rave reviews as a DJ, emcee, & event coordinator at private functions & public venues.
He is a Columbia native, USC graduate, & 4th generation hospitality entrepreneur. As a professional planner, DJ, & principal of MUSIC & MORE…TO GO since 1990, he has been associated with thousands of events throughout the Carolinas, including weddings, anniversaries, corporate functions, charity galas, awards banquets, political gatherings, class reunions, trade shows, & conventions. He is also the founder of MMTG Associates, specializing in consulting, management, & training services for public, private, & non-profit organizations. Walter is also a partner in the Canal and Senate project, the first commercial restoration and redevelopment project on the riverfront in Columbia's Innovista District.
Professional affiliations include the Columbia Bridal Associates Board of Directors, Columbia Convention & Visitors’ Bureau, Professional Meeting Planners Network, AVNet Solutions, & CGC Event Partners. He is also a founding member of the Carolina Disc Jockey Association. Peers & consumers frequently turn to Walter for advice on numerous subjects related to technical issues, ethical concerns, & business practices.
In his limited free time, he enjoys cooking & traveling with his wife, Carrie Myron Caudle, JD, AIC, AIS. They live in Forest Acres & attend Ashland United Methodist Church. They are the proud parents of son Franklin, born in February 2005.
